you start cry if ya lose a toy
but then in your teenage years
you realize that ain't worth your tears

cause now there's high school drama
She wants to end it but you don't wanna
you'll try anything to get back together
but looks like its time for stormy whether

then you grow up and realize
that none of that was a reason to cry
cause now you've just turned 33
and you just found out that you're out of money

One day, you'll be facing death
letting go of all the secrets that you kept
you had your problems, your share of pain
and you got through it without going insane

so you'll look back and you'll feel glad
that you didn't spend your whole life being mad
you'll be lying there in a state of pride

things pass and people change
